Biography and bibliography
After studies of Philosophy oriented especially towards religion, Flore Garcin-Marrou joined the Research center on Theater at the University Paris-Sorbonne. Her PhD dissertation, entitled “Gilles Deleuze, Félix Guattari, between theater and philosophy”, supervised by Denis Guénoun, attempt to restore to theatre its place among the other arts and to study unpublished plays which Félix Guattari himself wrote between 1980 and 1990. Many deleuzian studies are formulated around the idea of the intersection between Deleuze’s work and particular disciplines such as music, litterature and cinema, but from which theater is often absent… Flore Garcin-Marrou has been in charge of courses in the Performing arts program at the Faculty of Lille (France) for two years, and has been involved in several research projects, co-founding the Laboratory of scenic practices of philosophical texts (“Laboratoire des Pratiques scéniques de la philosophie”) at the University Paris-Sorbonne, participating in international colloquia (France, Portugal) on the subject of unpublished theater of Félix Guattari which she hopes to publish shortly. At the same time, she’s working on mystic theater, German dramatic art, and the relation of the french playwright to the new social networks.
